The Douglastown Lions Club Scholarship of $1000 is awarded to a deserving graduate from the Douglastown Service area.

Eligibility:

– must be a student living in Douglastown (this includes Bartibogue, Oak Point, up to Bonne Route on Route 11 and French Fort Cove)

– one time award of $1000

– selection based on financial need and character

– all applicants must show that they have contributed something to their school by participating in some club, group or team while they were attending high school

– Turn in to the main office at JMH no later than Monday, May 15th, 2026

David Sadler Memorial Scholarship

The David Sadler Memorial Scholarship will consist of bursaries to be awarded annually based on the annual net proceeds.

The program is exclusive to students attending James M. Hill High School.

Terms & Conditions of Eligibility

1.         The program offers these scholarships to a student graduating from James M. Hill High School and entering an accredited post-secondary institution.

2.         A Scholarship Committee consisting of the Mayor or designate, City Manager, Principal of James M. Hill High School and a Guidance Counselor at James M. Hill High School will meet in June each year to make the selections.

3.         Selection will be based on academic standing, participation in school related activities, community service, character and financial need.

          4.         All decisions of the Committee will be final.

5.         Payment of the award to successful applicant will be made in two (2) payments of $750 each; one upon proof of enrolment in an accredited post-secondary institution in first term, one upon proof of enrolment in the same field of study in the second term, which will include a copy of the first term marks.

6.         Please arrange to provide to us, separate from this application two (2) letters of reference.

7.         Recent transcript of marks (official or unofficial)

CUPE Local 2745 Scholarship 2026

$2000 – Due: May 8th, 2026

One scholarship per region valued at $2000 each are available annually for full time attendance at a Post-Secondary Institution 

Those eligible are: 

1. Union members in good standing with CUPE Local 2745 

2. Sons, daughters or legal wards of members in good standing of CUPE Local 2745 Documentation may be requested 

Basis of awards: Consideration will be given to reflection paper, marks, financial need and aptitude. Applications must be completed on the current form and must be post marked on or before May 8th, 2026.

NB Hockey Officials Scholarship

$1000 – DUE: May 1st, 2026

The NBHOA now awards four (4) academic scholarships, they are named after long time NBHOA officials & directors Jean-Marie Albert, Paul O’Blenis Memorial, Sonny McLellan Memorial and Scott McKay Memorial each for the value of $1000.00 each. 

To be eligible to receive one of these scholarships you must be an NBHOA Official in good standing, a grade 12 student who is graduating and attending a recognized post secondary institution in the upcoming year. 

To apply for the Scholarship, please submit the following;  – – – 

Completed Application Form Copy of your high school transcript from this year 
Confirmation that you are enrolled/accepted in a post-secondary school for the upcoming year 
Applicant must submit a 500-word essay (double-spaced) to the Selection Committee. The essay should explain how officiating has impacted their life, and please provide examples outlining any community involvement (volunteering, extra-curricular, etc
 

If selected, the cheque will be issued directly to the recognized post-secondary institution you will be attending in your name in the month of September. Please fill out the attached form and return all material by email before May 1st, 2026.

NBCC Public Colleges Entrance Scholarship

$1000 DUE: May 27th, 2026

**This is the entrance scholarship for students going to NBCC, NBCCD or CCNB** 

Information

Your application form must be submitted no later than 27 May.
Total scholarship value: $1,000 (in two equal installments towards tuition fees).

This application form has 5 sections: personal and educational information; summary of extracurricular activities; financial information; required supporting documents; and declaration.

Selection Criteria

All Anglophone and Francophone New Brunswick high school graduate students accepted (or on a waiting list) in the current year at any campus of the New Brunswick Community College (NBCC), the Collège communautaire du Nouveau-Brunswick (CCNB) or the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design (NBCCD) are eligible.
